Minister of Labour Relations and Workplace Safety
Information on prosecutions, convictions and acquittals under Saskatchewan's Labour Standards Act and Regulations and The Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations.

Labour Mobility refers to an agreement between Canadian jurisdictions that aims to ensure that a worker's professional or occupational certification issued by a regulator in one jurisdiction may be accepted as certification in another Canadian jurisdiction, upon the worker's application. Some conditions and exceptions apply. 

Our Labour Standards Division provides services to Saskatchewan employers and employees in support of fair and equitable workplace practices. The Division aims to enforce labour legislation and to  ensure that employees and employers are aware of their rights and responsibilities under these laws.

Our Labour Relations and Mediation Division assists employers, employees and trade unions to resolve conflict in their organizations and conclude collective bargaining.

Health and safety in Saskatchewan workplaces is governed by The Occupational Health and Safety Act, 1993 and Regulations, 1996. The Act and Regulations apply to employers, supervisors, workers, self-employed persons, contractors, suppliers and owners. 

Office of the Workers’ Advocate (OWA) provides free, independent services to injured workers and their survivors pertaining to decisions on their Workers’ Compensation Board (WCB) claim(s). 

Our Ready for Work program resources provide critical information about health, safety and labour standards about the world of work for young workers, educators, employers and parents.

WorkSafe Saskatchewan is a partnership between our Ministry and the Workers' Compensation Board (WCB) intended to promote positive safety cultures in Saskatchewan workplaces. The WorkSafe Saskatchewan website provides information designed to help workers and employers prevent injuries and illness in their workplace.

The Workers' Compensation Act - Committee of Review (COR) is a guaranteed, periodic forum for people and organizations to recount their experiences with the workers’ compensation program and make suggestions for reform and improvement.   The committee will review and report on all matters concerning the Workers’ Compensation Act, 1979, the regulations and the administration of the Act and regulations.

Our Youth at Work information includes the YWRCC and Ready for Work programs, and a variety of resources to help young people successful transition into the workforce.  We also offer resources for educators, employers and parents.
